If you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, know that the Young Democrats of Georgia loves and respects you and your sexuality.

We’d like to also take this opportunity to congratulate the new vice chair and secretary of the Young Democrats of Georgia LGBTQ caucus!

Every year this day is an opportunity to come (back) out as our true, authentic selves AND to support those coming out for the first time.

I came out gradually starting the Summer of 2007, but my true coming out was in July of 2009, right after I turned 20 years old. I am happy to say that my family and friends (while some were a little confused or concerned initially) have accepted my identity and loved me for who I am! Many of them have become more engaged in LGBTQ-related movements to support me.

So today, I come out out again! I am the following and more!:
– Pansexual (a member of the Bi+ community)
– A strong, independent woman (she/her pronouns please)
– An LGBTQ community advocate
– A political activist
– An Equity & Inclusion leader and supporter
– A techie
– A human

March begins at 12 noon. Head to corner of Ralph McGill & Peachtree; ask a volunteer coordinator for directions to Row B for Georgia Democrats. The easiest way to get there is to take MARTA to the civic center station.
