Early voting has already started in GA! Make sure you are counted! In addition, it is so important to make sure others do too. GET OUT THE VOTE! Spread the word and let's make sure that those who we want to represent us, are in there!

In the first 4 1/2 of the 6 years I have lived in GA, I didn't know a single Democrat. I felt frustrated not being able to discuss important issues with like minded people. Until the '08 elections, when I found Obama Campaign headquarters in my town. Walking in those doors and getting involved changed my life. I not only discovered fellow Dems, but I could now contribute time and efforts to make the changes I want to see happen a reality.

A couple weekends ago, I attended a rally in Commerce, GA. I was shocked to hear of this event, having lived in the area for a few years and didn't know there were active Dems in the area to put on something like this. Curious to see the turnout, I went with some fellow YDs, and was amazed to see so many dems come out from so many counties in the area. I gotta say, I was truly moved. Let's keep the momentum going and get all the Dems we know to the polls!

Atlanta Urban League Young Professionals Presents Super Saturday

Atlanta Urban League Young Professionals (AULYP), in conjunction with Kennesaw State University, will host its fourth annual Super Saturday. This political experience is AULYP’s annual voter education series that highlights the important issues for national, state and local elections. The goal is to educate the public and work with elected officials to enact change in our community.

Super Saturday will consist of speakers and a round table discussion with candidates contending for the Office of Governor for the state of Georgia. Invited town hall participants include David Poythress, DuBose Porter, Thurbert Baker, Roy Barnes, Carl Camon, John Monds, Jeff Chapman, Nathan Deal, Karen Handel, Eric Johnson, Ray McBerry, and John Oxendine. Invited special guests include Mayor of Atlanta Kasim Reed and Atlanta City Council President Ceasar Mitchell.
